From the Desk of the Founder/CEO

September 2, 2023

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to UgoSunday Foundation’s 10th Anniversary  “Be Lifted” Charity Event holding today in this beautiful City of San Ramon-California.

UgoSunday Foundation is a volunteer-based charity organization established in 2013 as an approved 501(c) (3) non-profit public charitable organization. Vocational Education and Skill acquisition is our main tool for empowerment because “Teach a woman to fish; you feed her for a lifetime”. The purposes of the Foundation include addressing some of the challenges outlined by the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals 3,4 and 5 in empowering women at risk and in poverty. Also, to honor the legacy of Rev. Clifford Sunday Eke & Rev. Dr. Virginia Eke who in a harsh cultural background against the education of the -girl-child, empowered their 5 daughters through Education. Our target groups include women in shelter homes, recovering drug addicts, widows, single moms, and women who are struggling to make ends meet for themselves and their families.

As we celebrate our 10th year of charity to Humanity, we will continue to build on our legacy of service by empowering our target groups through Vocational Education Scholarships, Skills Acquisition Training, and Health Awareness and Promotion. About 55 women in the US, have benefited from UgoSunday Vocational Scholarships and 40 rural women in Nigeria are beneficiaries of skills acquisitions and local petty businesses sponsored by USF.

We are thankful and grateful to our donors, contributions from volunteer members and generous participants like you. We are very proud of our cordial and historical partnership with organizations such as The American Red Cross, Women’s Center, Houston Area Women, The Mission of Yaweh, Providence Vocational Inc., Sister Fellowship –Westheimer Chapter and Santa Maria Women Hostel which earned us both US Congressional and Mayoral Awards on women empowerment. Our next chapter is to get corporate entities attention to support our cause to build an Event Center for our target group in Nigeria, sponsor more skill acquisition opportunities, basic health promotion skills, and financially support the education of our target groups. Thank you all for your presence and support. God Bless Us All.
